A little weed which followed the settlement of Americans of European descent across North America thus becoming
known as "white man's foot".  Other common names include "common plantain", "broadleaf plantain",
" buckhorn plantain", "great plantain", "rippleseed plantain", "soldier's herb", "ribgrass" and "waybread".
